Senior Portraits 

How do I find information about my senior sitting?

  • An informational letter was emailed or distributed in school. This letter is a wonderful resource, as it contains the date and location of your school's photo shoot, the attire your school requires, how to book your appointment, and your options for your sitting. If you did not receive this letter, or you have misplaced it, please go to this link: and type in your school name.


How do I make an appointment?

  • Please visit and search for your school. On your school's page, you will find an interactive calendar that will allow you to schedule your appointment.
    • Please note that we are not able to schedule appointments once the photo shoot has begun.


What do I need for my sitting?

  • You need your sitting fee (if applicable), correct yearbook attire, and additional outfits of your choice, depending on the sitting you choose.

What should I wear to my sitting?

  • In order to figure out what you should wear to your sitting, read over the informational letter mentioned above. This letter will go over in detail what your school has selected as your yearbook photo requirements. 
    • If your school requires a tux or drape for your photograph: Tuxes and drapes will always be provided by Legacy. Gentlemen should wear a white t-shirt and ladies should wear either a tube top or a spaghetti strap tank top. 
    • If your school requires a tie and jacket or blouse: You are responsible for supplying your own outfit, unless your informational letter states otherwise. Keep in mind that solids photograph best, and make sure that your items are ironed and ready to go for the day of your shoot. 
    • If your school has no requirements: You are responsible for supplying your own outfit. Still keep in mind that solids photograph best, and try to choose a more classic versus contemporary outfit. The more classic an outfit is, the better it will age in a photograph over time. Ladies, please no tube tops, as they will not be visible in headshot.

What should I expect at the photo shoot?

  • Your picture will be taken in a variety of poses and outfits (depending on sitting option). You will then choose the pose you would like included in the yearbook. Before you leave, you will receive a proof sheet that includes all photos taken, your current yearbook pose, and a password to view your images online.  Or you will receive a gallery card to view/purchase these poses online.  They will be available for viewing online in approximately 2-3 weeks of your picture date.


How do I change my yearbook pose?

  • If you would like to change your yearbook pose, you have two options. You can call our Customer Care department at 1(800)348-4360 or email with the following information: 
    • Full Name
    • Name of School
    • Pose Number (Verify online or with proof sheet)
    • Phone Number


How long does it take for my pictures to be posted online after I have them taken?

  • It takes 2 to 3 weeks from the last day of the photo shoot for the images to be posted online.


How can I place an order?

  • There are three ways to place an order:
      1. Mail your completed order form with payment to our office at
        86 Roseville Road, Andover, NJ  07821.
      2. Call our Customer Care Department at 1(800)348-4360.
      3. Order online using the password on your proof.


I forgot to enter my coupon code at checkout. Can you still discount my order?

  • Unfortunately, the coupon code must be entered at checkout to receive the discount. We cannot discount your order once it has been submitted.

How do I access my photos online?

    1. Visit our Buy Pictures page.
    2. In the search field towards the bottom of the page, type in the password listed on your proof page.
    3. Click on the thumbnail image that appears.
    4. Enter your password one more time. The password is case sensitive.
    5. Clicking on one of the thumbnail images on this page will allow you to see bigger versions of your photos.
    6. From here, you will be able to click "Buy" and be guided through the purchasing process.

What do I do if I don't know my password?

  • You can email with the student's full name and school they attend and our Customer Care department will look it up for you!


What is a digital download?

  • When you purchase a digital download, a link will be sent to the email address you provided at checkout. When you visit the link, you will be able to download your images directly to your computer. You will also receive a copyright release attached to the email that gives you ownership of your photos. There are no refunds for digital downloads.


Once I place an order, how long will it take to receive my package? 

  • Senior orders take 4-6 weeks, delivered first class USPS.


How long will I be able to purchase pictures?

  • They will be online for one year. After that the pictures will be archived. We will be able to get them out of archives if needed. Just include your student's name, school, school year (for example 2016-2017), and grade. This process will take approximately three weeks.



Underclass Portraits

What is your customer satisfaction and return policy?

  • If you are unsatisfied with your picture package, please return the photos to our office at

    • Be sure to include a note with your address, what you would like done, and your student's name and school.  
    • We will either: exchange your package with the edited photograph, retake your child's picture (if available), or process your refund request. 
    • There are no refunds for digital downloads.


How can I place a pre-order?

  • You should have received an order form from the school. Visit for all credit card payments and enter the school code provided on the order form. For all other payments (cash, check, or money order) send the order form and payment with your student on picture day.


The code printed on the order form doesn't seem to be working.

  • The school code is disabled the day of picture day to allow for processing.


How do I order if the school code is disabled?

  • Send the order form and payment (check, cash, or money order) in with your student on picture day. Checks should be made out to Legacy Studios


I forgot to send in the order form and payment with my student on picture day.

  • Your student will still have their picture taken (as all students will). When the pictures are distributed to the students, your child will receive an envelope with a postcard picture and an online gallery password for you to view and purchase pictures online OR you will receive an email with the password on it. If your school didn't provide emails, please contact to request a password for your child.  Be sure to include your child's name, school, and grade.


My child did not receive an order form?

  • The school will have extras for students to pickup prior to picture day. You can also call customer service and request the school code so you may prepay and order online.


I forgot to send in the confirmation letter with my child.

  • Call our customer service department at 1-800-348-4360.


How do I order a class picture or a yearbook?

  • Most schools will submit a separate form for ordering class pictures and/or yearbooks.


Will there be a retake day and when will it be?

  • Yes, there will be a retake day. You can find the retake date at the top of your order form. The dates should be provided/posted at the school as well. You can also call our customer service department to obtain this date.


What do I do on retake day?

  • Send the original pictures in on retake day with your student. The photographer will reorder the same package for you.


How do I order the Family Plan online?

  • The Family Plan is not available online. You must send in an order form on picture day with each child.

    • The schools of all children must be photographed by Legacy Studios. Siblings must live under the same household.
    • Each child must bring in their own order form.
    • Each envelope must have payment included, except the free child, who will not have payment inside.
    • They must have an order form so we know what package to order for them.
    • Call 1-800-348-4360 to pay for the two children. You will then be given a unique code to put on all three (or more) children's order forms.
    • Seniors are not included in this family plan
